Resident Manager Job Opening at HAMLET HOUSE
Home Description
We’re Hamlet House, part of The Hamlet in the heart of Lopez Village on beautiful Lopez Island. We’re a small, warm adult family home where care is personal, neighbors know each other, and people can stay connected to the community they love as they age.
What makes us a great place to work is the feeling here. We’re all about compassionate, attentive care in a homey setting, not an institution. Our team works closely together, and we really value kindness, respect, and the little things that help residents feel safe, seen, and comfortable every day.
We’re also in an amazing location. We’re within easy walking distance of local shops, the clinic, pharmacy, restaurants, the post office, and other village spots, so there’s a real sense of connection to island life. Our residents stay engaged with the wider community, and that gives the work more meaning.
We believe good caregiving starts with supporting the people who do it. We’ve had community support for staff training and caregiver incentives, and we value caregivers who keep learning and growing. Our team culture is built around professionalism, flexibility, and helping each resident in a way that fits their needs and preferences.
Another thing we’re proud of is our strong local partnerships. We coordinate with Lopez Island Clinic, Lopez EMS, the local pharmacy, therapists, hospice, families, and other community supports to make sure care is thoughtful and well-connected. That means you’re not working in a vacuum here — you’re part of a team that cares deeply and works together.
We also try to bring fun, creativity, and dignity into everyday life. From activities that support mobility and cognitive wellness to community visits, shared meals, music, reading, and conversation, we want our home to feel lively and human. If you’re the kind of caregiver who wants to build real relationships and do meaningful work in a supportive, island-centered environment, we’d love to have you with us.
