Job Opening Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to join our adult family home team. There is no gender preference for this position. In this role, you will provide hands-on support, companionship, and attentive care to residents while helping maintain a safe, respectful, and comfortable home environment. Free training may be provided through The Long-Term Care Foundation for qualified applicants who are looking to grow their caregiving skills and meet role requirements.
Compensation Range
Compensation for this position ranges from $19 to $24 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate should meet the following required qualifications for this caregiver position. Free training may be provided through The Long-Term Care Foundation for eligible candidates who may need support completing required training.
- Home Care Aide (HCA – 75 Hour)
- Dementia Specialty
- Mental Health Specialty
- First Aid & CPR
- Nurse Delegation Core
- Food Handlers / Food Safety
Responsibilities
This caregiver role includes providing direct resident care, supporting daily routines, and helping ensure each resident’s well-being, dignity, and safety at all times.
- Personal care (help with bathing, dressing, toileting, eating, mobility, and hygiene)
- Medications (assist with or remind residents to take medications as allowed/trained)
- Meals (prepare food, support special diets, and help with feeding if needed)
- Health & safety (monitor residents, report changes, respond to emergencies)
- Housekeeping (light cleaning, laundry, and keeping resident areas safe)
- Supervision & companionship (provide oversight, social interaction, and emotional support)
- Documentation (record care and communicate with managers or healthcare providers)
- Resident rights (respect dignity, privacy, choices, and cultural preferences)
- Training & compliance (maintain required certifications and follow state and home rules)

Shift and Schedule
This position is for weekend and overnight coverage. The current scheduled shift is Thursday from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Candidates should be comfortable working overnight hours and providing attentive support during quieter, safety-focused parts of the day.
