We’re A Big Heart AFH, a family-owned adult family home in the Olympia/Lacey area, and we try to make this a place that feels warm, supportive, and easy to work in. Our home is run by a family team, including a registered nurse and caregivers with specialty training, so you’re working in a place that really values hands-on care, teamwork, and doing things the right way.

Job Opening Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable female Caregiver to join our adult family home team. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to providing respectful, attentive, and high-quality care to residents in a supportive home environment. The caregiver will assist with daily living needs, safety monitoring, companionship, and communication with the care team to help ensure each resident receives personalized and dignified support.
Free training may be provided through The Long-Term Care Foundation for qualified candidates looking to grow their skills and meet care requirements.
Compensation Range
Compensation for this position ranges from $18 to $25 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, and overall qualifications.

Responsibilities
This caregiver position plays an important role in supporting residents with daily care, comfort, and well-being. The responsibilities below reflect the essential duties of the role.
- Personal care: Help with bathing, dressing, toileting, eating, mobility, and hygiene
- Medications: Assist with or remind residents to take medications as allowed/trained
- Meals: Prepare food, support special diets, and help with feeding if needed
- Health & safety: Monitor residents, report changes, respond to emergencies
- Housekeeping: Light cleaning, laundry, and keeping resident areas safe
- Supervision & companionship: Provide oversight, social interaction, and emotional support
- Documentation: Record care and communicate with managers or healthcare providers
- Resident rights: Respect dignity, privacy, choices, and cultural preferences
- Training & compliance: Maintain required certifications and follow state and home rules

Shift and Schedule
This is a live-in caregiver position. The schedule is designed for a caregiver who can remain on-site and provide ongoing support, supervision, and assistance as needed in the adult family home setting.
